How to get the maximum sale value and exit cleanly
For some reason, despite having launched one of the world’s first digital agencies in 1994, technology eludes him. His name is Felix Velarde, and he has been part of the agency landscape for quite some time. Felix has founded six agencies, served as the CEO of an agency group, and been the chief strategy officer of another agency group. Felix has acquired seven agencies, experienced 16 exits, and scaled over 40 businesses.
Felix loves agencies. Although Felix found them incredibly frustrating when Felix ran them himself, he has been helping other people scale, grow, and exit their businesses for the last 10 years or so.
What is he doing these days? He is the chair of the 2Y3X programme, which scales agencies and exits them at the maximum sale price. 2Y3X is now a global programme. They have agencies all over the world running the programme, and most of them are quite ambitious.
There are three actions from my point of view:

Secondly, review your discount factors; examine the list and be thoroughly critical about achieving excellence in all seven of these factors.
Thirdly, a succession team, an agency, and a team that you can sell to acquire. That is when it becomes magical, for it is at that moment you have all the choices in the world regarding what you wish to do next.
